The garment industry is highly competitive and extremely demanding, but with proper training, passion and perseverance you can succeed.

There are many fashion design career paths for you to choose from. Some fashion designers work for top houses such as Tommy Hilfiger and Chanel.

Do you jot down notes and pictures in your note pad about people's clothes and how they could look better? Then you might just have a future as a fashion designer

Fashion designers are responsible for designing clothing, accessories, and even shoes. Fashion designers create original designs based on inspiration from various sources. Many designers launch their own fashion design labels, or work collaboratively at some of the larger “houses” (established fashion designs like Chanel, Versace, Vera Wang are considered houses.) Fashion designers have a unique ability to set global trends, either by their choice of colors or use of innovative materials.
